The city council in Denver just approved the disbursement of $1.68 million to 140 transgender and “non-gender-conforming” people who are living on the streets.
Taxpayers in the far-left enclave will be forced to pay out $12,000 per homeless LGBT to supposedly help these vagrants find housing. It is just one component of Denver’s new universal basic income (UBI) scheme.
Denver’s Department of Housing Stability (HOST) came up with the plan in an effort to address the city’s overwhelming homelessness problem. Much like San Francisco, many of Denver’s parks and sidewalks are smeared with human feces and saturated with human urine.
The $1.68 million contract for the homeless transgenders still needs to be officially approved, which is expected to happen on October 3 following a 30-day review. Once ratified, the city of Denver will be required to provide direct cash assistance to the “randomly selected applicants,” none of whom are straight white men of course.
In order to accomplish HOST’s goals, Denver will need to infuse $2 million of the city’s nearly $200 million worth of uncommitted covid relief from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) to the Denver Basic Income Project (DBIP).
“The pandemic has had a really big impact on the state of homelessness in our community [and] we’ve seen increased numbers of families seeking shelter, as well as [increased] numbers of women using our shelter system,” says Angie Nelson, deputy director of HOST.
Keep in mind that this is the same city of Denver that back in 2013 decided to start charging hard-working taxpayers for exercising or doing yoga in public parks as a group.
In other words, homeless trannies who defecate on children’s playground equipment and pee on the slide while flashing their butchered trans body parts to kids will now be receiving free money from Denver. And regular people are still prohibited from using those same parks without paying a fee.
“People will be placed into three different groups,” explained Mark Donovan, founder of DBIP, about how the new homeless tranny welfare program will work. “One group will get $6,500 upfront and then $500 a month for 11 months. A second group will get a $1,000 a month for 12 months.”
Donovan further explained that a comparison group of 300 people will also receive $50 a month for 12 months, meaning another $180,000 of taxpayer money will go to even more homeless trannies for free.
If that is all not enough, Denver is also planning to hand out free cell phones with a year of service to all of the homeless trannies. Both the money and the phones are unconditional with no strings attached, meaning nothing ever has to be paid back.
There are also no requirements for how the money is actually spent. The homeless trannies could all collectively buy trailer loads of alcohol, drag queen outfits, and who even knows what else and they are free to do so, no questions asked.
“Direct payments are provided to program participants to help them more quickly achieve stability,” DBIP says.
“Through such direct cash payments, basic income helps provide the stability needed for residents, including people experiencing homelessness, to more quickly get back into housing, reducing income volatility and providing an opportunity for stable employment.”
Similar programs are already in place or are in the process of being established in other cities such as Los Angeles, Chicago, New York and Vancouver, Canada. In Chicago, some $30 million is being disbursed among 5,000 participants, who will receive $500 monthly installments just for living on the streets.
