There are only two sexes: male and female. And any person who believes otherwise concerning his or her own personal “gender identity” is suffering from a serious mental disorder known as gender dysphoria.
These two statements are scientific facts rooted in biological reality. But as you may already know, they can get you censored or banned from Twitter, which is exactly what happened to world-renowned sexologist Ray Blanchard, the latest victim of Twitter’s anti-free speech agenda.
In responding to questions about his position on “transgender people,” Blanchard wrote on Twitter:
“My beliefs include the following 6 elements: (1) Transsexualism and milder forms of gender dysphoria are types of mental disorder, which may leave the individual with average or even above-average functioning in unrelated areas of life.”
Blanchard went on to list his other five points in separate tweets. But it was this tweet in particular that got him flagged and blacklisted by Twitter – an act of “politically-correct” retaliation by the social media giant that was only lifted after considerable public backlash.
Blanchard was reportedly locked out of Twitter for making these statements for 24 full hours. Twitter later reinstated his account, claiming that the ban was a “mistake,” and Blanchard responded to the fiasco by both thanking Twitter and issuing a stark warning about its totalitarian tendencies.
“I have come to realize that Twitter does not care whether a tweet is factually correct but only whether it is offensive to a favored group of Twitter users (in this case, trans/gender dysphorics),” Blanchard tweeted after his Twitter account was “graciously” reinstated.
In other words, Twitter, with the support of its large Leftist user base, has gone all-in against the First Amendment, and made itself the online thought police to decide what ideas are “acceptable,” and what ideas are not.
For those who aren’t familiar with him, Blanchard isn’t just some random hack. He once directed Clinical Sexology Services in the Law and Mental Health Program at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto, Canada. He also used to teach psychiatry at the University of Toronto.
In his biography, Blanchard reveals that he’s actually very sympathetic towards people with gender dysphoria, having back in 2000 actually pushed for sex reassignment surgery to be covered by Canada’s public health insurance plans.
But unlike the LGBTPQ (P stands for pedophiles) lobby, Blanchard recognizes that gender dysphoria is a complex issue that isn’t to be taken lightly. There are many different reasons why people claim to be transgenders, and many of them are simply victims of the LGBTPQ agenda.
Even so, Blanchard is largely supportive of helping gender dysphoric people get where they’re going. Where he diverges from mainstream LGBTPQ thought is in his understanding of the reasons why some people choose to go this route – and for believing something different, Blanchard has become a target of the social media thought police.
And something tells us that Blanchard probably isn’t affirming of the newfound advocacy of Leftists for “nullo-ism,” or the idea that it’s somehow appropriate and normal for biological men to completely sever their reproductive organs in order to become LGBTPQ eunuchs.
“Ray Blanchard is the preeminent sexologist of his generation and a profound scientific mind,” reads a tweet from Sohrab Ahmari, the op-ed editor at the New York Post, warning non-liberals to pay attention to what’s going on, and to actually do something to fight back against it.
“Conservatives: Wake up. There is no neutral medium and no neutral market. This is naked politics-as-enmity, and some of you still cling to the-market-will-fix-it delusions.”
